Paddington Fine Wine opened its doors for trade on the first day of July 2002. Built as an addition to the hugely successful Paddington Ale House, it was created to further service our customers and community needs.
Paddington Fine Wines is well named - we stock a huge range of commercial, premium and super premium wines (including many back vintages). Owner Neil Randall has spent the last 7 years collecting and accumulating many premium back vintage and hard to acquire wines from all over the country. We also stock a huge range of ales and lagers from all over the nation and the globe, as well as incorporating a cigar store stocking commercial and premium cigars. Our motto is "You don't have to travel to taste the world".
Beautifully designed in federation style colour theme, Paddington Fine Wines moves effortlessly from the commercial ranges at the front of the store, through to the premium wine section and the cellar at the rear of the store. In conjunction with representatives from all the major beer, wine and spirit companies, the store layout is constantly being refreshed with new and innovative displays and in-store promos.
Our ranges of wines, ales, lager and cigars are also constantly "chopped and changed" to maximize customer choices and options. The store has also become an important part of the local community with many town residents taking advantage of our EFTPOS terminal, broad range of cool drinks, or sometimes just to chat with our friendly staff.
Store Manager Jason Sandercock with sales consultants, Stephen Melvin, George Papatanis, Ben Cooper, Peter Baulderstone and Jon Randall have between them over 50 years experience in this trade and this ensures customers receive excellent service and expert advice. Owner Neil Randall (himself with over 25 years experience in hotels and bottle shops) encourages the staff to attend a number of monthly training seminars, trade shows and tastings to ensure that all staff have up to date and first hand knowledge of all the store products.
There is also a staff library containing all the current and relevant tomes penned by respectable wine writers and critics. We are very proud of our high level of service and our customers show their appreciation by returning time and time again seeking opinions and advice.
Paddington Fine Wine boasts a massive array of wines. Western Australia is proudly and broadly represented with producers such as Amberly, Alkoomi, Cape Mentelle, Cullen, Evans and Tate, Goundry, Happs, Houghtons, Howard Park, Lamonts, Moss Wood, Palandri, Picardy, Vasse Felix and West Cape Howe among a great many others. A vast array of other great Australian producers are also represented in the store with labels such as Brown Estate, Charles Melton, D'arenberg, De Bortoli, Grant Burge, Penfolds, Peter Rumball, Pipers Brook, Rosemounts, Wynns, Yalumba and many more.
Penfolds Grange, Henscke Hill of Grace, Jim Barry the Armagh, Hardy's Eileen Hardy Shiraz. Saltram No. 1, Wolf Blass Platinum Label are amongst a huge range of premium, super premium and back vintage wines that are also available.
There are literally thousands of different wines available in the store to choose from an in conjunction with a great selection of wines, we also stock a fantastic array of ales and lagers from Australia and all over the world. Our range includes Boutique Beers from WA such as Little Creatures Pale Ale, Bootleg Sou'West wheat beer and Redback Wheat Beers. Also stocked are over 120 beers to choose from, a very impressive range.
Paddington Fine Wine is also The Home of Cigar Cool - an in-store cigar shop. With around 60 different cigars from Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Nigeria and other nations to choose from as well as Humidors, crystal cigar ashtrays, cutters and lighters from Colibri of London. Cigar Cool has everything the customer requires. A range if glassware from Reidel and Specialglass also helps enhance our extensive product range.
